WordPress Quick Tip : Windows Live Writer

There are several ways you can post your articles online to your website using WordPress including its’ built-in dashboard. The only downside to this is that you need to be logged online.

I am sure there are those who are virtually hooked into the Internet but I am not one of them. One alternative is to install a weblog client which is basically a blogging software that works in conjunction with WordPress and allows you to compose your articles off-line on your computer.

This way, you have the freedom to write anytime and upload later when you are hooked into the Internet. There are many weblog client softwares out there. WordPress has a complete list available for you to choose from. Some of these are free and open-source, others are paid software.

One of these weblog clients is Windows Live Writer (WLW for short). I was trying to become less dependent on Microsoft products when I first heard about their WLW software. As with any software, it was not perfect when it first came out.

Recently, I tried it out for the first time and discovered they have made significant improvements to their software. It helps to have a dedicated team of programmers on Microsoft’s salary who are encouraged to work with open-source software.

TheLocoMono Website Objectives

To create awareness of other like-minded people who are on their own road to greatness.

To provide leadership for people who want to become great in their business endeavors.

To provide a clear, comprehensive, concise and informative website for people who want to better understand the 4 cornerstones, business, personal finance, real estate, and travel.

The End of My Travels

You always hear all the “pros” talk about creating an end in your mind, a destination where you want to go to achieve your dreams. Some of these pros may tell you to write this end down, put it where you can see it, make a copy and put it in your wallet, etc… Other people suggest to create a visual image or a collage of what you see in your mind that is attracting you to the end.

Either way, these people agree on one thing, talk about it and share it with your family, friends, peers, and strangers.

At 32 years old, I have done quite a few things in my travels that other people only just dream of but I still have a ways to go. I still have quite a few “ends” in my mind that I need to achieve before I arrive at the ultimate “end” in my own mind.

Our Popularity is Stuck!

After doing some research, it appears there is a known compatibility issue with Alex King’s plugin, Popularity Contest and WordPress caching plugins. This will prevent your Popularity Contest from being updated on a regular basis. Until there is a workaround with this issue, TheLocoMono has turned off the cache plugin so that our readers will know which posts are the most popular ones.

The Power Lies Within Your Choices

Have you ever notice that there are times the knowledge you have did not command the power that came with it and other times the same knowledge did command the power that came with it?

Such occurences where the power did come come with the knowledge you bear contradicts the old saying “Knowledge is power.” After reading an article by Peter Drucker, I examined how exactly does power manifest itself if one has such knowledge that commands the power that comes with.
