I see myself as an explorer, a student, and a thinker all in one. Having lived in several different states, worked in several different industries, I began to see similarities in life no matter where I went, whether it was my own experience or seeing someone’s else experience.
The idea first occurred to me when I was coming home from República Dominicana to create a website where I could “explore the relationship of money and business, personal finance, real estate, and travel.” A few years ago while living in Colorado, it hit me.
Money is just a theory in pratice.
Allow me to explain. First, we need to understand what a theory is.
- An explanation for some phenomenon that is based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning. (Source)
- The body of rules, ideas, principles, and techniques that applies to a particular subject. (Source)
- The logical expression of relationships among abstract concepts; generally developed to explain a set of related behaviors or events. (Source)
As far as money goes, here is a list of definations that I have found to be the closest to the true defination of the word “money”.
- A means of payment or a measure of value. (Source)
- Anything generally recognized as a medium of exchange. (Source)
- A psychological creation; a concept; the mental image of that which is used as a medium of exchange. (Source)
There are different schools of thoughts about money. Some are posistive and some are negative. Either way, money is a means to an end. An end which serves a purpose to fufill our desires.
Having lived in several different states, worked in various industries, and experienced different aspects of life, I began to realize that the better I understand the relationship of money and business, personal finance, real estate, and travel, the better I can utilize money as a means to an end to achieve what I desire in life.
While I do not pretend to know everything in life, I do know that I have places to go, people to meet, things to do and not enough time to do it all. My greatest desire is to seek out the world beyond the horizon no matter where I go, embrace new cultures, experience life as I know it so I can better understand our world in an attempt to leave this world a better place than when I came in.
This is where TheLocoMono Website comes in. Since you are reading this, you know all too well how rapidly our world is changing with the Internet revolution.
About TheLocoMono Website
This website is technically a blog. A blog (short for weblog) is basically a series of posts in a reverse-chronological order. I am taking this a step further with recurring posts that are being brought to the forefront from the depths, such as The Series of Page 123 which basically lets you know what books I am reading at the moment or reviewed in the past.
Over time, I have discovered that it is easy to clog a blog with too much information whereas I want my visitors to TheLocoMono Website to have an easier way to access the information they are seeking. One of the most common methods is to create niche websites where the site focus on a specific topic.
Here I have taken this one step further by creating sub-domains such as Just Personal Finance @ TheLocoMono Website where you can read about personal finance topics. If you recall, TheLocoMono Website was created to “explore the relationship between money and business, personal finance, real estate and travel.” These four areas serves as the four cornerstones of this website. There are plans in the works to expand my sub-domains so be sure to come back and visit.
Thank you,
Mark @ TheLocoMono
