Attention: Guest Bloggers Invited
With the recent trend on the Internet reflecting the popularity of guest blogging, I am currently reaching out to my peer bloggers to invite them to post here on Fridays.
What is so special about Fridays?
Based on my Google Analytics report for 2007, it appears that Fridays mark the beginning of the traffic surges to my website. This surge usually lasts from Friday to Monday.
Since I decided to limit my posts to three per page, my editorial calendar will allow your post to stay on the first page Friday, Saturday, and Sundays providing you with the most exposure possible.
What can you as a guest blogger post about?
The 4 Cornerstones which my website is built on attempts to explore the relationship of money between any of the four themes listed here,
- Business (January, March, September)
- Personal Finance (February, June, October)
- Real Estate (March, July, November)
- Travel (April, August, December)
Update: A terrific idea if you are looking to brainstorm is the opposite side of your coin. If you wrote a post on your blog that you felt was one of your best piece, you can publish the opposite point of view.
For example, you wrote on your blog, Why Parma Makes the Best Cheese? and you want to direct readers to your article, you could write about Why Rome Can’t Make Cheese!
What is the catch?
As long as you can write a good quality article touching on The 4 Cornerstones, you can promote your blog here shamelessly. If you want to link to your articles here and there, feel free to do so.
All I ask is of you is to provide a linkback to your article here for your readers to read.
Update: See comments below. I will only accept posts that does not sell a product or a service. You can do that on your own blog. However, if it is a quality piece about how a product or a service helps your strategy, that is okay. (If you include an affiliate link, you must disclose that information.)
It is a great opportunity for you to try posting articles outside of your comfort zone or niche and gain more exposure.
How often can you guest post here?
At the moment, I am only considering 1 guest post that will be published every Friday at 8 AM (EST). That means there will be 51 slots open for you to post this year.
Great! When can you start?
Feel free to leave a comment or contact me if you wish to participate in future events. Be sure to include your website information so I can check it out.

This is a really good idea. Guest posting has become increasingly more popular recently.
Are you looking for an article covering all four areas, or can a guest writer take one specific topic, I.e. Business?

Comment by Mark from TheLocoMono on 4 January 2008:
Thanks, Rob. It does not have to cover all four areas. It can be focused on one specific topic. There are so many areas within each topic that it is hard to cover them all but if it was for a guest post this month’s theme which would be business, it can be about big business, small business, marketing, advertising strategy, etc…
If one wanted to “cross-theme”, one could write about how building a small business helped increase his/her income for personal finance matters such as gaining a larger family, etc….
As an afterthought, I now realize I also only ask the post is not written about selling a product or a service, that must be done on one’s own website. However, one can discuss strategies for using such a product or a service like using Text Link Ads to cover hosting expenses and Bidvertisers to cover advertising expenses, etc…
