January 2008 is…

First of all, allow me to take the time to thank all of you who visited my website last year. Your support has allowed me to learn how to become a better writer. Each month brought more visitors than the previous month which has only served to push me to become better and add more value to my website to serve your needs.

As they say, “Nothing personal, just business.

Your personal finance is YOUR BUSINESS. My personal finance is MY BUSINESS. I am not trying to tell you to MIND YOUR BUSINESS in a rude manner. I am just simply saying, it is nothing personal, just business.

I have to tell you the truth. I have rewritten that opening so many times. I wanted to jump in your face without stomping it. I don’t know if it got your attention but if you are reading this far then that counts for something.

Anyways, that is the theme of the month for my website. I wanted to combine 2 of the 4 cornerstones of this website, business and personal finance because it is important to start each year on the right foot.

Meanwhile, the goals for TheLocoMono Website this month are…

Increase my traffic by 10%. To be honest with you, I have no idea how I am going to do that this month. I SHATTERED my goal last month which took me completely off guard.

My goal was to increase traffic to 2220 visitors. At the time of this writing, I have passed 5,340 visitors. That means I have increased my traffic by more than 100% in one month. I am sure for some professional bloggers this is considered normal to them but for me, whoo, it sure ain’t no easy feat.

So for January 2008, it is my goal to increase my traffic by 10 percent which means 5,340 + 10% = 5874 visitors.

Increase my subscribers by 20%. The latest figures shows that I averaged 32 subscribers in December which was pretty good considering I was aiming for an average of 29 subscribers.

So for January 2008, it is my goal to increase my subscribers by 20 percent which means 32 + 20% = 38 subscribers. (Rounded down)

I used to set goals for my ranks here in the past but in light of recent rumblings on the Internet from top bloggers about issues with certain traffic ranking sites, I decided it was easier to track my progress over at My Technorati Rank and My Alexa Rank pages to see whether I achieved my resolutions for 2008. While I understand the value of these ranks, I am not quite so sure how much of an importance they hold among my readers.

Tell me, what are your goals for January 2008?
