June-Bug Cleaning
For a lack of a snazzier title since it is June and that’s the beginning of summer so “spring cleaning” doesn’t apply anymore. About a month ago, my site was slapped by Google for my paid posts so my PageRank dropped to zero.
Fortunately, I was not the only one and found a great post from How I Save Money who experienced the same situation and listed the actions she took to restore her PageRank.
Paid Posts
While it was fun to see the income from my sponsored posts arrive, it was no fun to see the PageRank drop. It has been more than a month so I managed to add the nofollow tags to the links in those posts.
Suggestions?
Suggestions would be appreciated as to what else I can do to restore my PageRank. I am fairly well-ranked in Technorati for this site and my sub-domain, Personal Finance.
Stay tuned for further news as to what I have done to restore my PageRank when it happens.

The best thing is to not stress about it because that will adversely affect the quality of your writing. One thing you can do since you have put in all your nofollows is to resubmit your site to google (webmaster tools site) and have them reconsider. I did this once a month from the time I got my nofollows put in and some people say it helps because it puts your site on their radar more than people who do not.

I agree with lulugal11. I had a similar issue a few months ago. I improved my PR by resubmitting my site to google after putting in nofollows. I was lucky.. They reconsidered
Good luck! I hope you’re PR goes up!

Best of luck to you, hopefully next round of updates you see an improvement and gain back some if not all your pagerank back.
I’m assuming with those tags and building some new links your pagerank will return.
In the webmasters tools site do they have a contact form? (I’ve never noticed) perhaps you can write someone and let them know you have changed the posts to nofollow. (And wont do paid posts anymore) and maybe have whatever reduction was imposed , removed. If not then I guess you’ll need to start building links again

Interesting!
KeywordLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.
