POLL : What’s a Lot of Posts?
A reader left an interesting comment that made me wonder about how many posts is a lot. In a sense, this reflects how one may decide to use excerpts or full posts. So I wondered what is a lot of posts? Is it based on how many posts per year, or how many posts total? Some bloggers have only been around for a year, and other have been around for more than 3 years so there are a lot of posts but exactly which is it?
This is actually the first poll I have posted where you can choose more than one answer. Should you choose more than 1 answer, please keep it to one vote from per year and total posts. Your vote will help me better understand how to best serve your information needs.

I think the question of how many posts really depends on what kind of posts and their length. If the posts are short (say 100-200 words), then I don’t think you’ve got a lot until you get up into the 500 post range. But if you’ve got 50 one thousand word posts, that’s a massive site. Hope that helps.

I believe using technology to make the most of my posts… quality rather than quantity. I’m also considering using a specialized copywriting software called Glyphius. Has anyone had any experience with this? It is supposed to use statistical analysis to optimize the wording of your advertising copy. I’d be interested in hearing any feedback, good or bad. Thanks

I agree with Rob.. It really depends on the post length. If they are short and spammy, they aren’t very quality comments. However, if they are extensive, well-written and well thought out comments, those are much more valuable.
I voted for 500 posts total (as long as they are quality comments)

I would say 300+ posts a year, as that means posting nearly every day. Some people seem to be able to post even more, perhaps two or three posts a day.
But I think it comes down to quality. If people know a blogger tends to post once a week, but the posts are of a high quality I think they will increase the readership of their blog over time - rather than churning out posts for the sake of it.

I would say 100 top quality posts are far better than 500 average posts. a make money online blog i read only posts around 1 post a week maximum but the posts are always top drawer. because of this the guy has an amazing reputation and isn’t producing posts every day.
