TheLocoMono Weekly Roundup # 6
Reflections
TheLocoMono and I managed to pound out 7 articles, four here on the main website, one over at Just Business, and two more at Just Personal Finance. In a way, it was a fairly productive week. The strange thing is I can’t remember doing much of the work last week. I think some of them were just set ahead of schedule so help keep things fresh. I know I wrote one or two that I didn’t like so much but that dislike has encouraged me to focus on my writing skills.
It has really been a good month and can only get better with March arriving yesterday. Here’s the roundup for today. I thought I would try a different approach and write a little lead-in for each article so if I can spur your interest, you will visit the links to read more either here on this website or more specifically, on my sub-domains.
TheLocoMono Website
I noticed a specific figure on my website tracking programs and realized I needed to do a redirect so I wrote a WordPress Quick Tip: Redirects. I am not satisfied with that article, I need to do a better job writing it.
I am really starting to fall in love with Windows Live Writer. It is a terrific tool to combine with the WordPress dashboard to really help you polish your articles even more professional looking. There are some downsides to it such as not being able to write an optional excerpt but that’s okay because it includes the option to post to WordPress and finish editing from there before publishing the article which will give me a moment to do so.
Two of my previous posts helped me realize it was time to revise TheLocoMono Website Objectives which I think is starting to look more and more accurate as to the goals I have for this website and its’ sub-domains.
They always say begin with the end in mind and I found the perfect picture for The End of My Travels in my mind. It certainly has gotten me started looking up information for more specifics and wow, the information I found certainly has shown me a way to get to the island.
Just Business
In order to lead your business in the right direction, Deciding Your Vision can be crucial since the purpose of your vision is to provide you and your business with the proper amount of inspiration.
Just Personal Finance
Automating My Emergency Fund to the End was rewritten from my original post, Moolanomy’s Checking on My Progress. This was exactly the reason why I changed the way I had my WordPress permalink set up so I could bring old posts back to the front page as long as I revised it to reflect up to date materials and improve my writing skills.
I had my Thought of the Day the other day about personal finance. I enjoyed writing it because that is the kind of thinking I do every day. I only realize now that I need to write my permalink for my thoughts of the day differently from each other so that I can distinguish each of them.
