TheLocoMono Website Objectives

Last year, I wrote the 5 Goals for TheLocoMono web site when I first jumped into blogging and started paddling like a basset hound searching for the golden goose. I took a moment to revisit that article and noticed that nearly a year has passed and my thinking has changed for the better. As a result of restructuring TheLocoMono Website, I knew it was time to establish the 3 objectives for this website and it’s sub-domains.

But first I had to revisit my old article on writing business objectives to refresh my memory on what should be taken into consideration about my business objectives for this website. I suppose when you sit down to write your business objectives, you should not take too much time and just K.I.S.S. it. I broke it down into a few steps of what worked for me during this process. It may or may not work for you. Every business is as different as their owners.

  1. Write down a couple sentences about what you expect from your business.
  2. Write down a couple sentences about what you want to achieve with your business.
  3. Write down a couple sentences about what you want your customers to expect from your business.
  4. Pick out the strongest sentences that you identify with right away.
  5. Throw out the weakest sentences that you are unable to sense any feeling of attachment with.
  6. Identify the common thread(s) found within each of these sentences. (You may find more than 1 common thread.)
  7. Group the sentences by the threads and rewrite them into one sentence.
  8. Leave it alone and come back one year later.
  9. Repeat the process.

With that in mind, when I revisited my 5 goals, I realized that there were stronger values than just making money. Yes, it is crucial to be able to generate revenue to ensure the viability of any business but in the end, what good is money if you can’t do something with it. If you can use it to grow your business to help you achieve the true objectives you have in mind, then in the end, your business will succeed.
