Why TheLocoMono Website?
I have things to do.
I have places to go.
I have people to meet.
I have only so much time to do it all.
You have things to do.
You have places to go.
You have people to meet.
You only have so much time to visit TheLocoMono.
I was thinking about why am I building this website when I realized I needed to focus on two parts first. The sum of the website, any website really, is me and you. (For those who are anal about grammar, it would be you and I).
My reasoning
I listed a few reasons above the diagram to help illustrate my explanation. Understand the list is not necessarily limited to those reasons. There are so many reasons, each of the tailored to both of our specific needs.
When I was younger, in my 20s, I did a lot of traveling, exploring various corners of North America. I was always doing something, meeting new people, exploring places, etc… People always told me that I was always busy. My standard reply was,
It seems like I always have got places to go, people to meet, and not enough time to do it all.
My story
People want to hear stories about other people’s lives. We know this much to be true, after all, all one has to do is go to the biography section of the library and check out a book on anyone. There are even movies, and websites made about people’s lives.
My story is not really that unusual but in its’ own way, my story is unique because of the life I have lived to this day. I still am exploring exactly what makes it unique and why is it unique because I have always seen my own life as normal. Yet when in comparison to thousands of those who I have met in my travels, I realized my life is the stuff of stories people read about.
It is by no means a spectacular story like the young man who went Into the Wild, or The Captain’s Wife who sailed a clipper ship around Cape Horn, or such. That is certainly the stuff of legends.
Each of us is lost in our own world, we all have places to go, people to meet, and things to do. You and I are really not so much different in that sense. The difference is the choices we make in life.
My website
If each one of us had a personal website, we would have several billion websites already. I suppose that day will come. Once I discovered blogging, I realized how much easier it was to build a website and get things going. It provided me with a solution to keep in touch with those who I met in my travels and new people who I have yet to meet.
It also answered my question as to how to tell you my story so you can read it. I have told my story in person so many times over and over that it is a little tiring to repeat myself so this website became a solution. It is a matter of figuring out how to establish this website so all the information you need can be found in one place.
