WordPress Quick Tip : Redirects
I just figured out how to permanently redirect any pages throughout TheLocoMono Website and its’ sub-domains should any visitor happen to be redirected. One thought to keep in mind if you want to create a permanent redirect is to redirect them to your contact page where they can contact you and let you know what happens.
It is more easier for me to know what is causing my redirect if someone tells me than all these crazy website analysis tools. Just a thought.
Feel to drop a line and let me know if this tip helped you or what you think of this tip.

Quite a logical idea Mark, the only problem is this doesn’t help with Google rankings.
Although it’s a real pain and is quite time consuming it’s well worth 301 redirecting all pages.
I recently did this on a site, a fairly new site with only 40 or 50 pages, but if we are talking about a truly mamoth site, then at least start by 301 redirecting the core pages that bring in traffic.
Sorry Mark, haven’t checked in lately. I’ve been mega busy. Looks like the sites running smoothly.

Wireless - I wouldn’t say I am having a lot of issues with redirects, I just happened to notice a few hits on certain pages that are no longer there. It could be due to the changes to my website lately.
Rob - Things are starting to run a bit more smoothly, still working out some of the kinds. My host server also implemented some kind of I/O “process” to help reduce the CPU overload and so far it seems to be working. Still need to do some more testing.

Sounds interesting Mark, the site definitely seems to load a bit quicker for me, so they must be doing something right!
